discount airlines

I am waiting to board a flight to KL, Malaysia. Choice of airline Air Asia. Reason - dirt cheap! worth it?- every penny!

One of the problems i did not forsee was the long queues for the check-in, the recession may have hit, but  look at the air asia counter here at the bangkok airport and a glance at the half empty queues of the other airlines leads me to believe air asia is still in the air.

They do not allow u to get food on board and charge u for baggage, and extra is extra payment, u can pay to get  fav seat to board on priority (why? to run in and wait till every other guy gets on board? we are not exactly talking first class here!), or for a blanket....i am pretty much sure the next thing they are gonna charge me is for toilet paper coupled with a ban on bringing any personal tissues on board!

They still dont charge u fuel surcharges and i got a ticket from KL to BKK one-way for 800 baht...thats 24 us$!!! Cheap is the way to go in these times and people are choosing their option wisely.

Flight boarding......

Crash landing

BANGKOK, TH — A military report into the crash of a hard disk in Bangkok city limits on 9th Feb 2009 that killed one hard drive and lost tons of data in the process fails to yield conclusive evidence of a foreign hand involved in the attack.

The first warning signal was a similar crash in the month of March 2008 at Bangalore, India where thankfully under warranty the US made Macbook model of 2007's hard drive was replaced.

The casing also apparently underwent some damage in the subsequent months after the replacement, which on a trip to San Jose,U.S.A,  the incumbent got replaced just 3 days before the warranty expired. The recent crash however throws suspicion towards the replacement of the replacement drive which has not survived a bare 10 months...

The latest diagnosis of the crash has experts pushing for yet another hard drive replacement which since now the aforementioned model being out of warranty,  would require green backs. This is yet another blow to the entire episode. We are awaiting further reports...
